What wind

Last night was the 2nd Cherry Creek TT. We had like 50mph gusts, and probably a 30mph steady Cherry creek Toilet bowl wind. I did my absolute best in the conditions, but then had a slight mechanical on the way back, where I couldn't get into my 11 or 12, so I gunned it in my 13.I was spinning like 102 rpms in the tail wind! You had to be smart & save the efforts for the head winds. The turnaround was so sketchy and I almost went down! The Tri-Spoke Disk combo was fine...except for *maybe* the tri-spoke choice. That thing picks up some nasty cross-wind. I'll have to see if I can find a spoked front wheel or something when it gets that nuts. Disk is always fine.

Ironic that I was able to go up the hill in the aero position in my 53x13! It probbaly isn't good for top 10, but this one will for sure be the one to get dropped. Either way, I'm getting really good at "feeling it". Mike Carter caught me about 1/2 way up the hill. That's about 1min30 seconds earlier than last week. He still puts a 22:28 in those conditions. UNREAL. That guy is just awesome. This TT will most likely be the one that gets dropped for me. I really want to try to podium the overall. I'm confident I can do it.
