Prius
So, Amy ended up getting a Pruis to replace her poor, poor, dead Subaru. Turns out that Roos Only replaced her engine about 30,000 miles ago, but overlooked replacing some sort of pulley mechanism (the pulleys more specifically) that helps run the timing belt. Apparently the pulleys and/or the bearings wear out eventually, and should be replaced, anytime you can get in there. For example, a new clutch, timing belt, or, a new engine. Well, needless to say, the pulleys wore out, the belt snapped, and the bearings eventually melted the cover and pop. Engine dead. The good news now is that Prius is so freakin pimp! We've been carpooling to work, and, on the days she drives in, I take the Prius. The hybrid function works wonders on our fuel gauge...we have been averaging 50-70 miles per gallon (no shit) on our commutes. The hybrid technology is pretty sweet, and the car drives like a dream. The base model (package 2) is what she agreed on getting, and, this thing is still stocked to the gills! It has this awesome computer thingy/info center, as well a backup camera (no shit) that turns on when you put it in reverse. It's pretty freakin sweet!
