This weekend was pretty sweet.
Friday night, Amy & I hit up City oh City for some dinner. It was super packed, but, luckily the wait wasn't too long. We were both pretty dang hungry! We opted to split a big ole pizza, which was good cuz I'd been craving pizza for a while now. It was delicious! (We even had leftovers which I destroyed Sunday).
Saturday, we had a brunch date with our baby clan friends to just hang out with the tater-tots, and, talk about diapers! I headed out on the CC Bike Path at about 9am, and, it was 21 degrees. Yeouch! I bundled up, but, it was no match for the temp. As I rolled out on the path, I assumed it'd warm up, and, some of the snow/ice would melt. MISTAKEN! It didn't warm up until probably 3pm or so. The path was crazy as far as conditions. So much snow and ice! It was weird though because in sections, it was totally clear. The studs did fine, but, I probably could have used more of a lugged tire for the snow when it got deep. The A10's can handle it, but, they slide a teeeeeny bit when the snow gets too deep. The studs catch you, but, still, the clearance can suffer.
The party was up by City Park, so, I rode out to Havana, and, headed back to the Denver Country Club to pick up Williams to 7th to St Paul. There were some thick sheets of ice on the back roads, but, over all, they were avoidable. Once I arrived, I changed, and, we all enjoyed a delish breakfast! We did a little baby playing & holding, and, eventually everyone (including ME) needed a nap! That night, we hit up Tacos Jalisco for dinner. Dayum! That place is VERy authentic and very delicious. The refried beans were kinda salty which made them soooo tastey. We'd seen this place so many times before on teh way to the grocery, and, its ALwAYS mobbed. We gave it a shot, and, it scored big time! Since Amy needs her protein, she was able to get some huevos and refried beans...a double dose! Biscuit was soooo happy.
Sunday, i woke up and went to the HART team ride. This was a colossal waste of my time and gas. While there is no such thing as a "no drop" team ride with this group, I'm very glad I had a mechanicla that forced me to turn aroudn within 10 minutes. Sometimes the decisions made as far as ride route and whatnot just baffle me. I'll stop there! Anyway, I headed back home, and hooked up with some of the Westside boys that were rolling out around 11. Stefan, Jamie & myself headed west on 32nd. It was nice to see that a bunch of the snow had melted from the day before. It was in ReALLY rough shape on Saturday afternoon. I had put the studs BACK on the bike, and, man, I was in the hurt locker BIG time. We hit Golden, and, opted for the northern route back (via Old Town Arvada & Grandview), which was a nice change of scenery. The amount of rolling resistance was ridiculous, and every small effort felt huge. Good training though! Needless to say I am super beat today.
We sold our gigantic TV yesterday which is a relief. We'll be shopping for a new one, but, now, we can have people over to entertain since there is room to sit. That damn thing was HUGE!
This week is pretty mellow. Starting next week though, yikes. Look out it's gonna get dooooozey.
Stay up

1. you should have rode out to primal
2. we had a great 4 hours with the guys, you missed out
I did miss out. I would have HTFU and kept on riding if my fender wasn't jamming the front wheel. Weak sauce. For future rides down there, hell yeah I'm gonna ride down.
now..get a job!
