Wow. That's all I can say! This ride might very well have topped the Stinson beach ride from Wednesday! Holllllyyyy Smokes. This climb was tough and beautiful....kinda like the perfect woman I suppose. The views were just amazing. Only 1 car passed me the entire time and I was truley on my own. It was 78 degrees today and not a cloud was to be seen for miles. When you got in the shade it really cooled you off and it felt so nice. Then, you'd climb back into the sun. It made for a really nice balance. Once I got to the top, I had to stop to take it all in. It was UNREAL!!!! What was neat was that it went from being totally wooded winding STEEP STEEP STEEP (did I mention steep?) road to just a winding STEEP STEEP STEEP (did I mention steep?) road in the clear with nothing but views straight to the ocean. Absolutely breathtaking!!! I stopped and had a snack. On my way towards getting ready to head down, I noticed another road that kinda went up to the left...so...why the hell not? I climbed another 3 miles up to the Mt Tam visitor center which worked out perfectly because I ran out of H20. I had a Clif Bar, soaked up the sun & view, and decided it was time to head down. The descent was the twistiest turniest SUPER fun descent I've ever been on. This helped work on bike handling 100%. I am now 100% comfy on the Primus going downhill. It had a tendency to drift on me a few times, but I think that's because I wasn't low enough, or, shifted my weight to the right position. Now, I'm golden. Once I hit town, I floored it to get home so I could hit that Hazel's place again for a tasty veggie burrito.
Ugh I WISH WISH I had my upload cable. The pictures are awesome!
Tomorrow is only a 3hr ride, but still big, then Sunday is just a few hours of base mileage. Then, I come home. It is official...this camp is going to be an annual thing for me!
